Greetings <<First Name>>!

We interrupt our normal weekly DragonBustR Reader for a special Veterans Day edition.  If we could, we would have made this arrive 11-11 @11:11 am o'clock, but close enough.

First, we turn to Peanuts.  This one is remarkable:

» A Quote...

Clicking on the above will bring you to 52-minutes of Capra's "Prelude to War" from 1942.

» A Ponderable...
Next up, we highly recommend you check out Don Cherry’s Remembrance Day piece.

If you are wondering about poppies, this will enlighten you.

» A Song...
Since the ringing Liberty Bell is a favorite image of Capra, and is shown throughout the "Why We Fight" series, the Enchanted Jukebox has pulled up the Mary Lou Williams version of "Ring Dem Bells" for this week's song.

Notable:  Andy Kirk and his band, the Clouds of Joy, was one of the most popular swing orchestras in the mid-30s and 40s. A lot of the credit must be given to the work of Mary Lou Williams, who played piano, wrote most of the arrangements and contributed many original compositions.

That’s a wrap!  Thanks for reading!   #SCMF!
